This page exists because California’s CCPA/CPRA and similar state laws grant a right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising. Below: how that applies to this site, and how to act on it.

Scope of This Right

There is no monetary sale of personal information by Savepots. The practice that engages this right is narrower — where ads are served, advertising and cookie identifiers may be shared with ad partners. Given how broadly the statutes define ‘sale’ and ‘share’, we assume it counts and provide the opt-out.

It applies site-wide, to casual visitors and regular readers alike.

What Follows

After you opt out, targeted advertising ceases but advertising may not. The site itself is unchanged — no content is locked, no feature is removed, and no reader is disadvantaged for having exercised the right.

How to Tell Us

Easiest first: switch on Global Privacy Control in your browser settings or via an extension — it is detected and honoured on every page load, automatically. Failing that, use the cookie banner where shown, or email hello@savepots.com, subject line ‘Do Not Sell or Share’. We never require an account to process an opt-out.
